Access Arrangement Solutions
Other Services
With extensive experience in the education sector, I am available to provide tailored support for your establishment. Below are some of the recent projects I have been involved in.
Deep dive audits and training
I have helped various schools and alternative provisions to check their AA paperwork up to date and ensure all required documents for exam inspections are in place. I’ve also worked with exams staff and ALNCo/SENCo's to ensure they understand and comply with the latest JCQ updates and delivered training to key staff.
Supporting with paperwork
I had a great time working with the staff and pupils at an EOTAS provision. We worked together to pinpoint areas for improvement and created documentation that tells the story of each pupil's journey, making room for reflection and evaluation along the way. I also created additional support materials to assist staff in completing the documentation. Now, the students have a thorough record of their progress and needs, making transitions to the next stage of their journey much smoother.
Supporting new staff
I’ve had the privilege of supporting several staff members who are new to their roles this year. I’ve assisted both ALNCo's and exam officers by offering guidance, advising on processes, and helping lighten their workload as they settle in. I have helped staff navigate the online applications and advised on how to complete Form 8/9 to a high standard. This has made their transition smoother, reduced stress, and ensured compliance with JCQ regulations and the ALNET Act, benefiting the new staff, the school, and the young people they support.
Consultation
I have provided consultancy on a range of issues in both the public and private sectors, including access arrangement processes, appropriate support for students with ALN, and the development of suitable environments and provisions for ALN learners. I've received positive feedback on the impact of my work.
Coaching
Completing a coaching qualification with the MOE Foundation has made me a better listener and more effective in the support I provide. I have helped young people with ALN needs find direction in various aspects of their lives and am eager to continue developing my practice. This year, I’m excited to start an ADHD coaching qualification, which will lead to running specialist ADHD workshops for parents and young people, along with my 1:1 sessions. Exciting times ahead, stay tuned for more updates!
